As salaamu alaykum,

So Darul Hikmah's The Forgotten Traditions is over.  Over 500 people came Friday night, and 600 on Saturday night.  I hope the program was beneficial to everyone who attended, and that everyone can utilize an aspect of what they learned from the conference.

All programs have their good aspects along with things that need to be improved.  So I'd like to ask for some feedback about the program.  What was the best part? The worst part?  What can we change to make the program better?  How were accomodations for you?  How often should we do these kind of events?

As well as the program went, Alhumdulillah, there are always those small things that can be changed to make it even better, and your input is highly desired.

inshaAllah, next week we will be in St. Louis, conducting a similar program.

Asalaamualaikum

This event was just amazingly awesome. I think it was wonderfully put together -- organized, segregated, great choice of topics, qualified scholars, etc. I only attended the evening sessions on Fri and Sat, and I can honestly say that that alone was enough to change my life for the better. I can't comment much on accomodations and what not since I didn't spend the entire weekend there, but the arrangments made for sisters were perfectly fine, and the free food was a nice touch. Aside from that, there was so much barakah in this gathering that it would've been great no matter what.

All in all, this was by far one of the best programs of this nature that I've attended. SubhanAllah, we are blessed with such great scholars who we can learn so much from in just one sitting -- therefore, in regards to your question of how often these types of events should be held, I personally feel that we could DEFINITELY use a lot more of them, especially since it had a huge impact on the youth of the Muslim community. I was depressed when this ended because I knew it'd be a long while before I'd have the opportunity to be amongst these scholars again. I also know that many others feel the same way and this was a life-altering experience for a lot of people. Alhamdulillah it was very eye opening and nicely done. Please keep up the good work. May Allah SWT reward you and all others involved in this effort profusely, ameen.

masha'allah event was AWESOME! wat else could i expect from such a team? doing it big

thumbs up to all you guys, i make SINCERE dua may Allah swt make all your affairs easy for you, ameen!

i think this is a great thing to have events you can bring your whole family to everyone benefits

some of the speakers made a great focal point on the sisters - that was a great idea

I think you guys should hold regular seminars, dont let the public go, you gave them so much to digest at once, now you gotta come back with smaller portions, have seminars like every quarter or every 6 months, and make the topics very specific, cater to diff needs, pay special attention to sisters issues hijab/husbands rights etc. and talks about family, love for Allah is a topic that never can satisfy our thirst for it, list all the common root problems in the ummah and strike at those, most importantly hit up the colleges and universities...thats where its at! basically what im saying is that dont lose the public now that you have their attention or ull just be like the avg one hit mullah wonder, summer is coming A LOT can be done

i make dua for you but plz make dua for ME cuz i need it most

wa alaykum as salaam
